Guest welcome app for B&Bs and holiday lets

A guest welcome app puts everything a guest needs for their stay on their phone, from directions and check-in to the Wi-Fi password and how the heating works. Each stay has its own private link, and requests from guests reach the host on WhatsApp.

An example of how the studio would build it. No live services are connected.

From a confirmed stay to guests who have everything they need.

  1. Step 01

    Stay confirmed

A confirmed booking creates a private link for that stay, valid from a few days before arrival until checkout.

  2. Step 02

    Arrival details

The guest sees directions in Google Maps, parking, check-in time and how to get in, with door codes shown only on the day.

  3. Step 03

    House information

Wi-Fi, heating, appliances, bins, breakfast times and house rules are in one place, with your local recommendations.

  4. Step 04

    Request sent

Guests ask for towels, a late checkout or help through the app, and the request reaches the host on WhatsApp.

  5. Step 05

    Host replies

The host replies to the guest by WhatsApp or phone and marks the request as done.

The result

Guests settle in without hunting for the Wi-Fi password.

Door codes and the exact address are only visible during the guest’s stay dates. Requests such as a late checkout are always confirmed by the host, never granted automatically.

Where this is useful

Useful for B&Bs, guest houses, holiday lets and small serviced apartments where hosts answer the same arrival questions for every stay. A sensible first version is a web app with arrival details and house information, before adding requests or a link to your booking system.

What we need to connect

  1. 01The information in your welcome folder, your house rules and local recommendations, kept up to date by the host.
  2. 02Booking details from your booking system or channel manager, through an API or a calendar feed, to create a link for each stay.
  3. 03A WhatsApp Business number for guest requests, and the hours you are happy to be contacted outside emergencies.

What needs careful handling

Booking platforms limit which guest details they share and when, so the link may need sending through the platform’s own messaging. Door and key safe codes are sensitive, so they only appear on the day of arrival and change between stays where your lock allows it. Guests can arrive somewhere without signal, so directions and check-in details are also sent by email before they travel.

Questions people ask.

Do guests need to download anything?

No. The app opens in the phone’s browser from a link, which suits a short stay. Guests can save it to their home screen if they want to come back to it.

Can it work with Airbnb or Booking.com bookings?

Partly. Those platforms control guest contact details, so the link is usually sent through their messaging, and stays can be read from a calendar feed or a channel manager if you use one. Direct bookings can be connected more fully.
