Turn Trustpilot reviews into branded social posts

Review showcase automation picks out strong new Trustpilot reviews and sets each quote into a branded graphic made from your own template. A person approves the post, and it is scheduled through Buffer to the networks you choose.

An example of how the studio would build it. No live services are connected.

From a glowing review to a scheduled, on-brand post.

  1. Step 01

    Review published

Read new Trustpilot reviews through its API, with the rating, text, date and the reviewer’s display name.

  2. Step 02

    Shortlist made

Keep top-rated reviews that mention something specific, such as a product or the service, and skip any containing personal details.

  3. Step 03

    Graphic rendered

Set the quote word for word into your branded template, in the right shape for each network, with the reviewer’s first name only.

  4. Step 04

    Post approved

A person checks the quote, the graphic and the caption, then approves or skips it.

  5. Step 05

    Post scheduled

Queue the approved post in Buffer for Instagram and LinkedIn, spaced out so reviews don’t crowd your feed.

The result

Real customer praise appears in your feed regularly, without opening a design app.

Reviews are quoted exactly as written, never edited to sound better, and credited to Trustpilot. Nothing is scheduled until a person approves it, and each review is used once.

Before we connect it.

Where this is useful

Useful for online shops, accountants, removals firms and other businesses that collect Trustpilot reviews but rarely share them. A sensible first version renders graphics for a weekly shortlist and leaves choosing and scheduling to you.

What we need to connect

  1. 01Trustpilot API access for your business profile, which depends on your Trustpilot plan.
  2. 02Your brand fonts, colours and layout, built once as a reusable template that renders graphics automatically without a design app.
  3. 03A Buffer account connected to Instagram, LinkedIn or the networks you prefer, and the person who approves posts.

What needs careful handling

Trustpilot has rules on how businesses may display and share reviews, so quotes are never edited and posts follow those rules. Reviews can mention order numbers, staff surnames or health details, so those reviews are skipped rather than trimmed. A reviewer may later edit or remove their review, so posts still waiting in the queue are rechecked before they go out.

Questions people ask.

Why not make the graphics by hand?

That works well if you only post the occasional review. A code-based template produces consistent graphics in your brand without anyone opening a design app for every review, which matters when you want to post regularly. Trustpilot’s own sharing tools are another option, and we check whether they suit you first.

Can we use Google reviews as well?

Possibly, but carefully. Google reviews belong to the reviewer and are covered by Google’s own terms, so we would agree an approach that credits the source and quotes reviews exactly, or keep the showcase to Trustpilot.
